Because we refuse to pack 10 children around one coach just to fill a class. Here’s what you get instead.
Six children, not ten
Most classes run 8 to 10 children per coach. Ours stop at 6, so your child gets more turns, more corrections and more attention every lesson.
The same coach, every week
No new stranger every term, and no starting over. Your child’s coach knows their name, their fears and exactly where they left off.
Grouped by age and level
Your 5-year-old won’t be mixed in with 10-year-olds. Every class is matched by age and ability, so no one is left behind or held back.

Four is the perfect age to start
Between 4 and 6, children pick up water skills quickly and have fewer fears to unlearn. Wait too long and hesitation sets in.
Our classes are built for this age: patient coaching, a small group of children their own size, and a coach who makes the water feel safe first. By primary school, your child isn’t the one clinging to the wall. They’re the one helping their friends feel brave.

Stage 1
First confidence
Getting in, floating, blowing bubbles, and feeling safe in the water.
Stage 2
First 25 m
Kicking and gliding into their first unassisted length.
Stage 3
50 m and safety
Longer swims, and staying safe in a life jacket.
Stages 4–5
Bronze & Silver
Proper strokes, breathing, and simple rescues.
Stage 6
Gold
A timed 400 m and real survival skills.

Lessons are at the swimming complex in the new Punggol Regional Sport Centre on Sentul Crescent: five pools, including an infinity pool looking out over the Punggol Waterway, next door to One Punggol.

Questions parents ask
Is Punggol Swimming Complex open yet?
Not yet. It’s part of the new Punggol Regional Sport Centre, due to open by the end of 2026. No exact date has been announced. You can already sign up for lessons there, so your child has a place from the start.
What age can my child start?
Our group classes start at 4. It’s a great age: children pick up water skills quickly and have fewer fears to unlearn. Private lessons are available from age 3.
How big are the classes?
Never more than 6 children, grouped by age and level, with the same coach every week.
How much are the lessons?
Group classes are $160 a month for 4 lessons ($40 a lesson). Private lessons are $380 a month one to one, or less per child with a sibling or friend.
Where is Punggol Swimming Complex?
At Punggol Regional Sport Centre, 11 Sentul Crescent, on the Punggol Waterway next to One Punggol. Sam Kee LRT is about 3 minutes’ walk away, and Punggol MRT about 9 minutes.
Where can I swim in Punggol until it opens?
Sengkang Swimming Complex on Anchorvale Road is the nearest, about 2.6 km away. Hougang, Pasir Ris and Serangoon are the next closest ActiveSG pools.
