Punggol Swimming Complex
The swimming complex at the new Punggol Regional Sport Centre: five pools on the Punggol Waterway, three minutes from Sam Kee LRT. It’s due to open by the end of 2026. Here’s everything we know so far.
When does it open?
Opening soon The sport centre was first planned for 2023. Construction started in 2020, and the opening moved to 2026 because of Covid-era material and labour shortages. Punggol’s MP has since said it will open by the end of 2026. No exact date has been announced yet.

A swimming complex with five pools. Reports so far describe two of them:
- A 50 m, 8-lane infinity pool looking out over the Punggol Waterway, with a wheelchair ramp.
- A sheltered training pool with underwater viewing panels.
The full line-up, depths and any water play for younger children will be confirmed when ActiveSG publishes the complex’s details.
What a swim will cost
ActiveSG hasn’t announced which price tier Punggol will be. Its pools charge one of two rates, so entry will be one of these (citizens and PRs):

Singapore citizens aged 65 and over swim free at every ActiveSG pool. Entry is by the MyActiveSG+ app at the gantry.

Questions about the complex
Is Punggol Swimming Complex open yet?
Not yet. It’s part of the new Punggol Regional Sport Centre, due to open by the end of 2026. No exact date has been announced. You can already sign up for lessons there, so your child has a place from the start.
Where is Punggol Swimming Complex?
At Punggol Regional Sport Centre, 11 Sentul Crescent, on the Punggol Waterway next to One Punggol. Sam Kee LRT is about 3 minutes’ walk away, and Punggol MRT about 9 minutes.
What pools will it have?
Five pools. Press reports describe a 50 m, 8-lane infinity pool overlooking the waterway and a sheltered training pool with underwater viewing panels.
How much will entry cost?
ActiveSG hasn’t announced Punggol’s rate yet. Its pools charge adults $1.00 on weekdays and $1.30 at weekends at normal pools, or $1.50 and $2.00 at feature pools. Children pay less.
Where can I swim in Punggol until it opens?
Sengkang Swimming Complex on Anchorvale Road is the nearest, about 2.6 km away. Hougang, Pasir Ris and Serangoon are the next closest ActiveSG pools.

Swimming lessons at Punggol Swimming Complex
Small classes of no more than 6 children aged 4 and up, grouped by age and level, with the same coach every week. From $40 a lesson. Weekend slots fill first, so secure your child’s spot now.
